Default Unitrunker 1.0.0.9

This is a mini-release to fix the EDACS group ID problem reported in versions 1.0.0.6 through 1.0.0.8. There are no other changes, fixes or improvements at this time.

Tried to extract it. The extraction process claims that Uniform is a password protected file. O noes!

EDIT: Disregard. Not sure what caused that, but I just got it to extract successfully.

Seems to of been fixed on my end
This was for the TG's showing up wrong and patches? Like Patch TG 702 should be 1972 or something like that?

Thumbs up

1.0.0.9 is working great here on the local FleetNet800 EDACS site control channel. Thank you Rick.

Corruption in a data file? Does unitrunker.xml get written? If so, if you examine it, you might be able to figure out the "last" system that was imported and/or which one is crashing it.

I think I have a fix for this. I found a problem while importing some old data from 2004-2005. I'll let everyone know.

I just noticed that in 1.0.0.9 talkgroups I have set to "Blink" are no longer doing so. They worked fine in whatever the last version was (1.0.0.5?) that I was using for a long time before all the recent updates.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

After running 1.0.0.9 for a couple of days. First keep up the great work.

My comments are: EDACS TG numbering back to normal. However now the signal is very low showing only two red bars and seeing missed or mis-decoded RIDs.

I went back and ran 1.0.0.6 and it showed full strenght.

For moto type IIi. Other than not showing type I TGs (all show as type II) it is now showing type II radios RID as the what the TG id is. When I run UT-retro and Trunk88 along side 1.0.0.9. I will see a type II change to the TG id fast (if you blink you could miss it) example a Type 1 id is 113-1. A type 2 radio id for that TG is 58881 this is instead showing as 14912 same as the what the program shows for the talkgroup.

Maybe im just dumb but i for the life of me cannot get my 396xt to connect with Unitrunker.

settings are:
Inline,BC396xt,Signal,Running,Com4,115200,8,1,None

Scanner is set to extended output for control channel, am I doing something wrong here?

No. Decoding from the "XT" Uniden models is broken. No ETA at the moment as to when this will be fixed.

You might already know this, but UPMan's twiki page at Uniden has a revised XT protocol document linked at the bottom of the firmware updates page.

Just an update from here after using the latest version of UT since it's release almost non-stop except for routine automatic system updates: much more stable and reliable - I don't think its crashed even once. Whatever problems there were with stability in 1.0.0.6 and earlier seem to have been resolved. Thanks again for the great work on this software Rick.

There's an awful volume control bug with the newer Uniden models. The program sends the radio to max volume at start up. Ouch. Anyone else noticed this?

On the contrary, I have noticed that the program mutes (or at least sets to zero) the volume on my 396XT. Haven't tried it for a while.

I upgraded to this version after using the old text-only unitrunker for a couple years, and its leaps and bounds better, but I cant find a way to use a dataslicer with it. Has that feature been dropped in the new programs, or am I just missing it?

I used to like using a slicer because it would allow me to run other software on the soundcard at the same time....

Slicers are a pain in Windows. The slicer option in Unitrunker Retro was Windows 2K/XP only. As a cheap fix, you could buy a USB sound adapter.
