Trunking Control Channel DecodingFor discussion of installation, setup, configuration, and use of the Trunker / Unitrunker digital decoding utilities (for decoding Trunking control channels)
I tapped mine with no problems.... Take the lid of the radio and look for an IC with '3359' on it... the exact model number may vary (and I'm sorry, but I don't know the IC# offhand. I would check my radio but it's mounted in my truck). Once you find the chip, the tap point is pin #10.
I do believe that the IC is the same model as the BC895XLT/BC890XLT...and the BC760, and the 560 and so on and so forth. I know there's a jpeg floating out there somewhere with the proper IC that needs to be tapped...
OK, Dumb question time. I have listened to scanners since the mid 90's andhave no idea what a Discriminator Tap is. Could somebody please enlighten me?
