Default Delegate Systems

I stepped out of the radio world for a few monthswhile I was doing a lot of moving around. The last unitrunker I had was beta 3. now I see we're up to 9!!! Wow, great job Rick, and thanks for all your hard work!

I've been trying to figure out some of the features, and the delegate feature is a godsend!. Here in Nevada we've got a statewide EDACS system, and depending on where someone is in the Las Vegas valley they may use one of 4 different sites! Trying to update TG ids, and radio Ids was a real PITA! now I see that problem is solved. The thing about it is, I'm too stupid to figure out how I'm supposed to make it work.

This can be accomplished in UniTrunker by picking one system to hold all talkgroup and user information. This will be referred to as the delegate system.
ok got it, I picked a large 15 channel site

When monitoring this system, program operation does not change. For all other systems that share this common information, you must edit each system by setting it's delegate field to the system id of the delegate system.
ok that makes sense, tell all the other systems to look at the system I picked to edit things in. The part I'm having trouble with is where do I type in the system ID for the "master" system? I see a field labled sysid, but it only allows 1 character there, and all the EDACS file names are like EDACS901, EDACS91A,EDACS905 etc... more than 1 character that i see allowed.

Once you do this, the delegate system's talkgroups and users will appear as if belonging to the other systems.
SWEETNESS

Quote:
To undo this feature, set each system's delegate field to zero.
ok, I see this option, and I see how I fit a 0 in there.

can anyone help me out?

From the main menu ... [F]ind ... [S]ystem ... fill out the sysid and type of the currently monitored system. Select [L]oad from disk. Tab over to the delegate field. Put the delegate's sysid there.
