If you weren't monitoring two independent systems, it just means some noise was falsely decoded as an OSW. It happens from time to time.

How (if at all) will this display potential Passport data? I'm trying to log a system that I know is LTR, just not sure to what "level" of LTR. The shop that set it up here isn't the sharpest... actually down right stupid. There are no bursts on any of the channels (per license / location search), but I do hear voice traffic. I need to get to the shop for a clean signal / disc tap.
Just asking before I set it up and go crazy....
Thanks for all the work you've done.

Possible reasons are listed in the manual. I'd say you don't have near enough attenuation in your cable. Or your mixer settings are way too high.

By monitoring only one frequency at a time.

Hi
Slicewizard I have a few question:
I monitor a 3 frequencies network with LTR analyzer and at the same time i monitor the same network with another scanner (bcd996t)
Sometime in your program i saw LCN and ID that i didn't see in my 996t, why???
Ex: LCN seen 02-03-04-08-10-14-15-16
group seen 02-130 04-075 14-188 etc.
but with my 996t logging with arc996pro theres nothing in the history logging. why?
and sometime i saw 04-123 lcn=4 ATB What ATB meen?
thanks

Because bad decodes happen from time to time. The LTR protocol has a very weak error detection mechanism.

It's in the manual.

Help
Help Please, will this work with out any modifications to the 996T or do I need to have someone build me tap for it?
I like to really see this system work, but I am in experencied in this field. Can you run it off professional grade radios if I gave you a diagram picture some where in the connector layout I think I might be able to pull a feed from it, as it set up to do LTR already. But, I can't firgure out the LTR channel assignments?

The 996 needs a tap.

On Motorola mobiles (MaxTrac, GTX, etc.), the signal is on pin 11.

That would explain why it would not work then, can you complete a tap for me or know someone who knows how? See pm for the radio model in question

The audio signal is on pin 9. Use that plus pin 7 for ground.

Does this application support the PSR500 PC/IF output?

Unless there is an undocumented switch that I do not know about, I believe the answer is now.

System Requirements
-------------------
- operating system:
LTR Analyzer seems to play well with:
- Windows 98 (FE and SE)
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
- sound hardware capable of supporting
(or of being emulated by the Windows multimedia subsystem),
22 kHz 8 bit monaural (single channel) input audio sampling
- RF receiver (e.g. a scanner) with a discriminator tap installed
- this version of LTR Analyzer is optimized for discriminator outputs
and will not decode audio from a headphone jack
- an audio cable to connect the received audio to the PC sound hardware
(e.g. a discriminator to microphone input patch cable)

If you're using a scanner that spits out decoded frames on the serial port, you already have most of the information that LTR Analyzer generates from raw audio. So if your PSR500 says, for example, group 1-123 is active on LCN 5 and LCN 9 is free, what can LTR Analyzer add to that?

Unknow Sound, is it a LTR system?
I have heard a sound in the frequency of 864.9125 MHz in Brazil but my BCD-396T
scanner does not recognize as being a sound control or a control Channel.
I used the Ltr Analyzer but didn't work.
I can hear some channel analogic voices like an LTR system byt my Scanner did not show as a LTR system.
Can someone help me identify what system is this?
(sorry but I didn't find another server to put this file)

That signal is not from an LTR system. It sounds more like telemetry data.
