Unhappy Project 25 Hybirds?

What is a Project 25 Hybird? I am familiar with a Type 2i Hybird but a P-25 Hybird is new to me.
Thanks.
Happy Holidays.

Where did you see that? It's not "official" nomenclature for any type of system.

It's like an Eagle vs Sparrow - hiBIRD vs lowBIRD?

My guess is you mean hybrid, and again taking a guess - it's a P25 / Analog mixed system.

heheheh. I missed the spelling error.

It would have to be a Project 36 (or is it P16?) trunked system with a 3600 bps control channel and Project 25 CAI on some or all of the talkgroups.

Exclamation Thanks Everybody

So a Hybrid system when it come to Analog is a Type 2I TRS but when it comes to P-25 it is (a) 3600 Baud Rate control Frequency(ies)with Analog and Digital Talk Groups or (a) 3600 Baud Rate control Frequency(ies) with all Digital Talk Groups.
Happy Holidays.
Thanks.

There is no "official" use of the term "Hybrid" in P25.

So it could be;
a mixed trunking/conventional,
a mixed Conventional-Digital/Conventional-analog,
a mixed Analog-Trunking/Digital-Trunking (Would need to be SmartNet Type II and not a P25 trunking system) (What everyone here like to call a 3600 baud, or sometimes a P16 system).

Maybe its one where the sites are powered both by batteries AND Engine-generators?

A good example of this would be the Sierra Army Depot TRS in Northeast California.

3600 baud trunking, but any P25 radio can 'hear' the system. All simplex talkgroups are standard P25.

THIS WILL BE CHANGING, HOWEVER. We just got notice that we have been awarded the contract oversight for changing them to a two site voted 9600 baud system in the next few months.

I received a pile (actually a small semi truck load) of XTS5000's and XTL's with AES256, 9600 trunking flashes, as well as several KVL+s for this system at our shop.
