Default psr500/bcd996t system id number(s)

I have the psr 500 and the 996 and I am not sure what is up with bot of them. I see the 500 will say S11 and 996 will say S41 for the same Freq. Its a edacs STD system. I'm not sure what C07 stands for on the psr 500.

C07 = Channel 7 (i.e. LCN 7)

As far as the 996 and the PSR displaying different site ID, I don't have a 996 around to compare right now. But I don't believe that is true. I think there is something else going on where you aren't looking at the same control channel when you come to that conclusion.

I know, that statement sounds like me being an ass - but that's hardly the case. I'm just being serious. 41 and 11 have no relationship whatsoever - It can't be a case where one scanner is displaying the site in decimal and the other is displaying it in hex. For instance, 41 decimal is 29 hexidecimal, and 11 decimal is 'b' hexidecimal. So I just chalk it up to possibly listening to a different frequency when you noted those two different site iDs.

One could be reading different bits in the system announcement. I would wager the GRE is correct.
