Default Emission Designators

Hi, I'm not sure if this question has been asked and discussed yet, I could not find anything on it. Emission Designators, is there a way to look at the FCC database on a system and truly tell what type of trunking system it is, ie, LTR, EDACS, so on and so forth. I have looked at the FCC page on Emission Designators and I am confused as to exactly "decode" them. The system I am referring to is ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Trunked License - WQDX240 - FOLEY, CITY OF - Frequencies Summary I am currently trying to map this system without luck. I am certain it is LTR, but afraid it may be LTR Passport. When I monitor each frequency, it has the data bursts I guess it what you can call it, but they are real quick, probably 4 to 5 seconds apart. Just wondering if anyone knew how to tell for sure if it is Passport so I can quit beating myself up over this. Also I have picked up some LCNs but they do not make any sense, one was 21, and have picked up other LCNs on the same frequency, so I'm thinking my radio just throwing those ids out there because its as confused as I am..lol. Anyways thanks for any help anyone can provide.

The emission code will not cover the type of trunking system. The emission code specifies the type of radio signal, not the internal workings of a system.

11K0F3E stands for narrow band, FM modulation signal - voice.

A quick reference to emissions is at:

Types of radio emissions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FCC database will not show you what system they are using, as many systems use the same spectrum. While they may be narrow band, FM, voice by definition, the coding within the signal is specific to the system. Anyone could change from one system to another without having to change the FCC filing at all.

Here's a link to digital audio samples. You may want to compare what you are hearing to the trunked system audio samples.
