vol and sql

Just got a bcd536hp. I have the newest firmware.
I have to turn the vol 6 clicks on the 6th click it will register to vol=01
On the sql i what to turn the sql 8 clicks till i get sql=1
Any one else have this issue?

That's normal. I suppose they wanted to mimic a legacy squelch and volume control.

No backlight when adjusting volume or squelch

I have my scanner setup to have the backlight come on with open squelch and button press. One annoyance is that the backlight does not automatically turn on when I adjust the volume or squelch controls. It seems logical that a user might want to actually be able to see the volume/squelch setting values displayed in the upper right hand corner of the LCD display when making adjustments.

Is this something that could be implemented with a firmware update?
