Default Does it HAVE to Blink?

Whenever my 996XT stops on a channel, the display starts blinking. I don't mind changing colors, but is there a way to stop the blinking?

It's an alert programming that you put for that channel.

Yup, that's user programmable, also not the default setting so you must have changed the setting for it, you can also have it change colors for certain channels.

Thanks. Using ARC XT I see 4 alert columns. One of these must control the blinking but it is not clear what each one does. Looks like Alert Pattern: On - Slow - Fast controls the blinking. Lacking description in the ARC documentation, Uniden documentation and the Easier to Read documentation. I must be slow.

IIRC, On = On Solid, Slow = Slow Blink, Fast = Fast Blink
