HP-2 audio output question

Realize some of this question was answered before.

I have a 2014 Subaru Outback

plugging the (2.5 mm to 2.5 mm stereo plugs) cable into the HP 2 AUDIO OUT jack and into the 3.5 mm connection in the center console

(using a (2.5 to 3.5 adaptor plug). also, checking the cd/aux setting in the Subaru audio system

I still get no audio from vehicle speakers and appears to be the correct stereo plug connectors as required

Any ideas ?

I like most would like to listen to HP2 audio from speakers when stereo is off

I haven't driven my '07 WRX in a year or so (at least not with a scanner installed) but IIRC the one time I tried to hook my HP1 into the aux jack, I had to have the stereo cranked to hear the scanner.

What setting do you have the volume on the HP? It need to be pretty far up in my case.

Do you mean the LINE OUT jack or the EARPHONE jack?
