Default Ordering Of 436

Hello,

Will be purchasing a 436.

a. Want to be sure that if I order from Amazon, I will be getting the latest.

For Uniden's latest 436, is there any modification to their
model number ? e.g. 436 II, 436-1, etc. ?

Or, just 436 from their Uniden listings should get me the latest ?

b. Any strong feeling regarding ordering from Amazon or ScannerMaster ? Why ?
Prices seem similar.

c. Rumors on any new imminent models like th3 436 due out in near future ?

Thanks,
B.

No new models that I know of. Look for 6800 in serial # (this is the latest version)

I feel that there are better places to get a 436HP than on Amazon.

Check out some of the many dealers mentioned here on Radioreference that specialize in selling scanners and have great customer service.

They often have better prices too!

Good luck. The 436 is an excellent unit.

Buddrousa, which one or two of scanners do you like and would buy again. I am almost ready to buy my Christmas presents and am thinking the 436 and 536 would make a good pair.
Thanks
Ben

My 436 and 536 both perform a service to me. It all matters on how you plan to use the scanner. My 536 sits in my scanner stack of 8 scanners at home logging DMR traffic the other scanners log other traffic so my 436 works side by side testing with my other handhelds and scanning local traffic. The 436 will work just fine and will let you have a portable and base scanner.
