Out of curiosity was Walmart the actual seller or was it a 3rd party selling the SDS100 on the Walmart.com website?

I just got back from vacation and was surprised I was able to find one available.
For those currently looking for an SDS100, Jeff at The Ham Station is still showing one left in stock and Zip Scanners is showing "in stock; ready to ship" per their respective websites at 2:15 PM EDT on June 24th.

FYI if anyone is currently looking for a new SDS100, Jeff at The Ham Station is listing on his website that there are currently 7 in stock (accurate as of 12:20 PM EDT on 07-02-2018) for $649.99 with FREE UPS Ground shipping. He is not shipping these SDS100 scanners from his store location in Indiana as it says "7 in stock ships from TX" on his website: SDS100 Uniden Scanner 7 in stock ships from TX SDS 100 [] - $649.99 : The Hamstation!, Your one stop on-line source for amateur radio fun.

Default 2nd round supply

Now that it's mid July, I see most suppliers are gettig restocked with the SDS 100 and was wondering if they are being supplied with the newer style battery yet or not . Also were there any production line tweaks or other changes applied to this batch other then the known battery capacity issue (with a replacement when available) that is different from the initial release of the SDS 100 now being back in stock?

No, the radios being delivered now still have the smaller battery. The larger battery is still a ways away.

(Disclaimer: I work for one of the vendors mentioned in this thread.)

Scannermaster still has the older ones. Two batteries are a plus for me.
