programming software

I have a bcd996t and want to use a computer programming software that is free. I know of BcTool, Free scan? What about the software you can download from uniden? Which do you think is the best one to use?
If there are any other software i do not know about please just let me know.

I suggest you start with the BCD996T Wiki. It has a list of available software.

There are dozens of "Which software is better" threads. The answer is never resolved. However, all available software has trial periods and/or evaluation versions that allow you to try them out before you buy them (and some of them are free, so no need to even buy them). The best answer I've seen is "try them until you find one you like."

i have looked at it and read it, i was just wondering peoples personal opinion on which software they like the most.

I like Pro-Scan first and Butel second. My personal opinion as requested :-)

FreeScan is the best free programmer
BCtools is the best scanner monitor application

If I purchased software again it would likely be Pro_Scan IMO its the best pay for application, butel has a very nice quickkey editor but development is slow and software is buggy
