Default Deleting Frequencies

Can a frequency (or a few frequencies) that are no longer needed be "deleted" from whatever Bank they are in or is L/O the only option, but I assume the frequencies would remain in the scanner, just not scanned by doing this?
These would be 6 frequencies I put into Bank 1 manually in my BC95XLT and would prefer to delete them to conserve space, if that's possible. I checked the owners manual and also here at RR but don't remember reading anything with regards to this procedure for my particular unit. Thanks all.

Tom

You could reprogram the channel to "000.0000" and the scanner would skip that channel while scanning.

Ok...so, perhaps I'm not understanding it appears that with the BC95 that there is no way to actually delete (get rid of) any 'manually' input frequency, it's like it is there forever taking up space in the Bank channel where they were put.

I will program 000.0000 in Bank 1 where I put these 6 frequencies and see if that eliminates any or all of the 6 in there or if it just adds another 7th frequency being the 000.0000. Thank you W5JSS.

All bank scanners work this way. Any available channel in a bank that was never programmed is 000.000, which is an automatic lockout. If seeing nothing(000.0000) makes you feel better, then do it, but simply locking them out does exactly the same thing. They do not take up any more space than 000.000. The key is that do not take up valuable scanning time since they are locked out.

Ok...got it now, I didn't understand before. This is still all new and believe me, it's not real easy, but I'm trying my best to solve one problem at a time when I come across something. The manual is no help in every situation...well not for me anyway. Thanks guys.
