Default Preprogrammed Systems on the BCD996T

I am just wondering if the preprogrammed systems on the BCD996T have been updated at all or are they the same ones as when the radio was originally released?

I"ll speculate. I don't think that Uniden would put too much effort in keeping that current. The expense in doing an update to the code for the scanner with the associated documentation would be pretty expensive.

I am pretty sure you are correct. At one point I thought maybe they would let hobbyist submit data for updates, but I sort of doubt that it would happen.

You could become a premium member here on Radio Reference and download the current scanner files (that are in the database)

Or even just compare them and see if any changes have been made from the one you have in your scanner
