ID SEARCH Issue (396T vs. 396XT)
Hi all,
today I was doing some ID SEARCH on a system and I discovered something weird.
When doing ID SEARCH on the same system with both 396T & 396XT, ID that is being showed on the 396XT is different:
Henry Towing
396T : 200-1
396XT : 16448
396XT is setup has decimal!
I know that the 396T is correct but I don't understand why the 396XT is giving different TGID!
do you have any idea?
thx,

The 200-1 ID is from using a fleet map, the other means you don't have a fleet map programmed if Motorola, if EDACS it is a setting AFS Agency Fleet Subfleet, you didn't post which system, so I can't tell for sure, but it is one of the above issues, solution depends on the system type.

Well considering that in an EDACS system the highest value that the agency part of the AFS ID can be is 15 I am betting that the 200 means that it is a Moto ID...and newsalan is right in that the 396t is setup for a fleetmap (Moto Type I or Type IIi Mixed system) while the XT is setup for a Moto Type II system...

that's the system:
Scanner Frequencies: C.T.M. Gatineau Trunking System, Gatineau, Quebec
now, how can I get this issue resolved, when programming the system in the 396XT I don't have the option for Type IIi Mixed!
thx,
