BCD396XT Question

I was thinking about buying a BCD396XT radio and was wondering how well does it perform on VHF? I currently have a PSR500 radio and like it, but the radio overloads so bad on VHF. I monitor mostly VHF and some 800mhz trunking systems. Does the BCD396XT overload like the GRE models do? Would like some comments and suggestions from current owners of this model, as I may be switching over shortly because of overload problems.

I have had my xt for about 6 weeks now and have put it through the ringer, figuratively speaking, in many different configurations and environments, and have never had a problem with overloading on any of it's frequency ranges. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I also have a GRE500 but can't take it in the mobile cause its so affected by cell towers and VHF overload....The 396XT has no overload on VHF-UHF that i can see, very little on 800 near cell sites....Its a much cleaner scanner and just as sensative, so i also purchased the 346XT and its also a great buy....The 396XT here in ILL does the new Starcom 700/800 digital system fantastic while the GRE is flickering and being overloaded.....
