Default BCD396XT FTO timing bug?

My 396XT does not seem to wait long enough when detecting an audio tone in FTO Search mode to decide whether it is a valid paging tone. The unit triggers on console warbles and Morse Code identifiers.

Is there some adjustment I can access that would make tone threshold detection more accurate?
