Default bcd396xt Delay Time

While I'm waiting for upman to give me some advise on my volume/audio problem in my other post, I have another question.

I dont understand why the delay times have been changed? Why cant we set what we want? I used to use 3 for the bcd396t and now I only see 1,2,5,etc.. why cant we set 3 and 4 anymore? Maybe it dosent make a diiff. to some but I used to use 3 and I liked it there. And whats with the negative numbers for delay time? What does that even do? Just wondering.

Thanks.

The negative delay causes the scanner to stop for the time set and then move on even if there is still activity on the channel.

Nice feature. Too bad it can only be set at the system level.

I don't find the available values to be a problem. I'm sure that if they had allowed for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, someone would have wanted 2.5.
