Default BCD396T Settings

OK, I have read so much on this site, but am still confused on the following - could someone give me a scanning for dummies response....

I am getting a weak signal in a populated area, in my efforts to try and improve the signal I keep trying to find the right set up. My question is, what effect does the following have on reception:
squelch
P25 waiting time
P 25 adjust level
audio AGC

I just keep messing with different combinations....but nothing seems to work.

You can adjust all those you want and its still not going to fix a weak signal. You need to be looking into antennas.

Or listening to a different tower but trying to listen to the same TGIDs.

Try moving the scanner to different locations in your abode and see if your reception improves any.
