BCD996XT: Patched talkgroups?

I'm a new owner of a BCD996XT and sometimes notice that in ID Search mode there will be talkgroup displays such as "37808 37888." Is this a talkgroup patch?

That would indeed be a patched talkgroup. That would indicate that the Talkgroups of 37808 and 37888 are patched together. Do understand though that there may be other talkgroups patched into those 2. Here in central NC we have a situation where six talkgroups are patched together into a multiselect. If you really want to have fun and see system activity you can use a program like Trunk88 or Pro96com with the 996xt. Here is a picture of Trunk88 taking the output from my 996xt and allowing me to see system activity on the statewide VIPER system here in NC.
