Default edit band plan 996t

So on my 996t in the edit band plan my scanner puts in two freq on line 0 and line 1 the first one is 851.006250and then on line 1 its 762.006250and then 6.5 step on both. Now i can go in and clear this then turn off the scanner then turn it back on and its back.It does this on all the 800 digital systems. So why does my scanner do this.I was wondering why my scanner doesnt pick up very well.I do have the latest update 3.02 version.Does this seem odd.

It is doing that because that is the band plan being sent by the digital system. On most P25 systems, the band plan is sent on the control channel and not manually entered.

Upman I'm assuming you mean true 9600 baud P25 systems and not just the ones that use P25 digital audio.

When I refer to "P25 Systems" I always mean P25 trunked systems and not "Motorola Systems that include some P25 CAI voice channels."

The practical answer is "It is working like it is supposed to."

Is there a way i can find out what the band plan is or is there somewhere i should look. Cause if i go in and manually clear those freqs. out the scanner seems to work better but as soon as i turn it off and back on again they are back in the edit band plan.

The band plan is either correct or incorrect. If it is working at all, it is correct. Since it is P25, even if you delete it it will be recreated as soon as the scanner gets the information from the control channel.
