Any more firmware updates for BCD396T or the BCD996T

I want to know if Uniden is going to release any more firmware updates for the BCD396T or the BCD996T in the near future? I read that Uniden is going to release a firmware update for the XT models.

Why is uniden not release more updates for the T models? I also read something about pay for feature updates. What happen to this idea? I think this is the going to be the second update for XT models scanners for some I mean.
