Default Bearcat 245 XLT / BC245XLT

Hello All!

Well, I couldn't find a data cable for my scanner so now I am looking into other options.

Can anyone verify if this pin layout is correct? I would like to make sure its accurate before I cock up my scanner.

Uniden BC245XLT scanner interface cable pinout and wiring @ pinouts.ru

Thanks!

Niss

Yes, the pin-out is correct, but where are you going to find the 9 pin connector that plugs into the radio?

I don't know of any source that still actually has them.

True, but it does show you what the connector looks like. The radio end connector is the problem.

You may want to try the Uniden parts finder on Twiki ask for this part number: BWZY1407001

Thanks guys but I tried all of those and they do not make them anymore.

I am looking into (worst case scenario) just soldering the cable directly to the pins.

Thanks again!

My 245 went deaf a long time ago, so I never use it any more. You can have my cable. I could drop it in a mailer if you think it's safe, or if you can wait, I could drop it off the next time I go up to Rama.
