Unhappy Uniden BC346xt

I have searched a bunch of sites, looking for one with a good selection of scanner cases, hard or soft nylon to protect my investment. Does anyone have a good source. Thank you all.

G'day Wonabet,

I just bought a soft leather case (with belt loop) for my 396T from Home

Excellent quality, should last a lifetime and only $19.95

I am not affiliated with this company, just a satisfied customer. I also bought 2 x XLT200 batteries from them and got great customer service and good prices.

Not bad, seeing as I am in Australia.

Highly recommend.

Cheers,

Paul.

Hi Joe,

No problem.

I am not new to scanning (bought my first Radio Shack scanner back in 1989), but I am new to Digital scanners and only bought the BCD396T a few weeks ago.

I'm having a bit of a struggle learning to program it, but slowly making progress.

I still love my old Uniden 200XLT and was finally able to get some replacement battery packs for it recently. It sat in a drawer for a few years as my original battery died and I couldn't find a replacement till I found that supplier in the US.

After 17 years, it hasn't missed a beat!

I mainly scan airbands (avitaion buff). The 396T is probably way overkill for my needs but a great scanner all the same.

The old 200XLT is a reliable backup unit.

Happy scanning!

Cheers,

Paul.

Cool Uniden BC346xt

Thanks Chrismol1, will check out scanner masters. Got my 346 from E bay and am very pleased with it, HOWEVER, you know how that goes, I should have picked up the 396, because Lee County is going digital shortly. Day late and a dollar short.

Joe
