Pro-Sound Remote Audio ANSMARA Miracle Whip SMA Right Angle Antenna KIT.
The antenna above (from the previous post) is not a multi-band whip antenna. It comes with a pre-printed cutting guide for tuning it to one of the frequencies in the range it covers. It's a transmitting antenna which probably has no effective out-of-band coverage features. It's just a piece of flexible plastic with a conductive core.

Thanks for that clarification ST-Bob. At least I'm trying.

People who post about their solutions here should at least give us links, like the right angle SMA male to BNC female for example. The only one I've found is $5, and that's a bit much.

The 789 is the best portable SMA receive antenna I've ever used. ...and I have a drawer full. It made a big improvement on my HP on VHF/UHF, and even works well on 800MHz..

Agreed, where can one find the right angle SMA Male to BNC Female?

all I could find is:

Amazon.com: BNC Female to SMA Male Plug Coax Adapter: Electronics

Amazon.com: BNC Right Angle Adapter Male To Female: Electronics

I would like to use my RS 800mhz Antenna, but question if the above would cause stress on the HP-1?

Links for pre-made jumper cables would be handy also, I searched but no joy.

Thanks

Thumbs up HomePatrol Antenna

I have tried several antennas for my new homepatrol. I bought an sma kit from ebay and set up my centerloaded telescopic antenna and it works great with my pro-2096, on the homepatrol there was some improvment from stock, but still weak in the lower bands. I read the post here and decided to buy the 800mhz antenna sold on ebay. I didn't know how it would work out for a mobile application, but must say I'm
finally happy with the performance of the scanner with this new antenna.

I am having very good luck with an Austin Condor and a very inexpensive ($3) SMA/BNC right angle adapter. Dramatic improvement on 400 & 800 mHz conventional.

They're trying it as a bid item instead of a buy it now.

Be nice to see the Antenna come to the Masses he's got a Good thing Going sounds like). If he could make the Antenna available through like Scanner master or Amazon.. something like that would show that a small Optionor could sell them just as well as the big companies do..

I seen this happen before to one of the Local Companies in our Town they started out very small and there products were in a handful of places but now there products can be found just about any were.. Ra

Your right, One of the guys at work just picked one up and is very pleased, he mentioned they are selling them with the buy it now option or you can bid on them as well. Some of the auctions went higher than the buy it now. not sure why someone would want to pay more than asking price?
