Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Always fun to hear about new features.
Keeping my fingers crossed for recording of tone data into the audio files.

I'm a little curious about the extreme upgrade and FW updates. Id there ANY advantage to NOT buying the extreme upgrade now as opposed to later?

19.Add P25 X2 TDMA systems in HPDB to receive some FDMA Talkgroups. Add "System Info" of P25 X2 TDMA.
Excuse my ignorance here but does the above statment mean that the HP-1 will support P25 X2 TDMA systems?

It means it will support FDMA channels being used on a P25 X2 TDMA system.

No - it means that the HP database on the HomePatrol website will download X2 systems from RR, so that they are in the HP1's database on the unit when you update.
Some systems have both Phase 1 (FDMA) and Phase 2 (X2-TDMA) talkgroups and people are missing out on hearing the FDMA talkgroups because the HPDB doesn't download those systems (since the HP1 doesn't support X2-TDMA). This just downloads those systems so those talkgroups can be heard.

I'm suffering from nomenclature brain freeze.... "Site Information frequency monitor mode" - are we talking about in the Discovery menus?

No. System sidebar menu --> Advanced --> Site information (from there select the site and navigate to the frequencies, then tap the active control channel frequency).

Jay911:
Thanks for the explanation, it all makes sense now. I am just reading up on trunking basics and keep seeing the topic of P25 X2 coming up. I guess if I get any systems out my way, I'll have to buy new hardware.... Dang, another excuse to spend money on radios
UPMan:
It's a great confidence booster to new customers to see not only your participation in these forums but also seeing feedback being used and incorporated into firmware releases. Keep up the good work.

Paul,
Can you please add the feature in Sentinel that will allow a TRS & a conventional set of frequencies to have the same name?
I was able to add the conventional paging channels for FD & EMS in my HP-1 along with my county's TRS to the same favorite list in PowerPatrol, and then have them both have the same main system name (so that the top section of the screen did not alternate).
The latest version of Sentinel doesn't allow this, but the HP-1 does not mind it at all (as also seen by the veritable flexibility of the unit to read favorite lists that look vastly different when read in the 'raw').

4. Added a quick access from the side menu Advanced option to add a new department or channel.
Does this mean you will be able to directly enter and save a frequency from the side menu?

For those who follow such things, I've also just updated the remote control specification documentation on our web site (major enhancements to the remote control specification are also included in the update).

Does the new upgrade allow you to add alpha tagging.

what do you want to alpha-tag? unless I understand wrong you can alpha-tag almost everything in the HP-1 under your favorites lists.
