xt keypad lighting
Just broke down an sold my 396t i almost cryed sold it for $300 . Im going to order the xt this week an im just wondering does the keypad on the xt light up like the one on the t did?

absolutely. the xt does a whole lot more. you will not regret it.

The 396XT back-lite does not stay on like the 396t, stays for a short time....

Sure it does. Press and release the "Backlight/Power" button in the lower left of the keypad. I have mine on nearly all the time.
