okay I have gotten a few 32 GB,s card to work,I am so tickled, here goes.

copy your files from your 2gb home patrol sd card.

make a folder on your computer and add these copied files in the folder.

make sure the Home Patrol is turned off

format your 16 or 32 gb card with default on your laptop.

insert 32 GB card into home patrol.

plug in your usb cord to your computer and home patrol scanner.

bring up the drives page on computer so you can recognise when your drive pops up.

now turn on scanner and you may get ERROR to take batteries out or something.

just ignore.

let it shut off and try to turn on again.

it will take a few tries, but when error comes up just let it go thru the sequence.

it took mine 5 times then finally it recognised it.

it says home patrol just like when it is regularly coming on.

once you see your drive come up that represents the sd card.

then you can copy the files that you saved in a folder on your computer.

then when they finish you are through.

unplug usb cord and turn on.

it will load your favs ,done

this should work as I did 2-32 gb for backup and a 16-gb also for backup, but if it dont I am not the reason, lol,so dont come flaming me,I am gonna do a short video also of it for those like me who enjoys watching techs do their thing

I may be missing something but why do you need such a large card?
I can get thousands of photos on a 4GB or 8Gb card and frequency files are
tiny compared to a photo.

The Larger the Card...

I personally like to leave my scanner on a few set departments.
I leave it on 24/7 recording.
I have run out of memory twice on the 2gb.
Had to stop and transfer files.
Now I wont have to do that.
I dont know everyone else's reason.
(is else's a word? lol)
