Default Alert on remote head w/996XT

Even though the main scanner is displaying the alert colors on the screen, they are not appearing on the RH. Is this a known issue?

Thanks

Not an "issue", the Remote Head only does one color.

The RH96 predates the XT scanners by some years. In fact, there is a firmware update for the RH96 to make it compatible with the XT scanners. That doe NOT include adding colors to the remote head, but I believe that to be a hardware, not firmware controlled item.

The RH96 was "discontinued" a few years ago because of poor sales. New ones are occasionally built and released using existing stock, but Uniden doesn't seem interested in releasing a newer version.

Thanks. It would be a nice feature to add.

Keep an eye on Scanner Master. They generally get the bulk of anything produced and that often seems to happen around this time of year. Actually they have them listed on their site now. There is also one listed on Amazon.
