Default BC346XT Clonning Error

Tried to clone two BC346XT using the included cabes plugged together with a DB-9 male-male connector.
When I hit Scan on the Master scanner it searches for a moment and displays ERROR on the Master.
They both say they are Version 1.05.00.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Do you have a null modem in there?

A better solution - and free, too, as long as you have a USB cable - would be to dump one scanner's contents into software like FreeScan, then upload to the second scanner. Instant clone, with a backup to boot

Yes I did use a male to male gender changer I bought from Scannermaster.
I don't no why everthing with Uniden scanners is such a hassle. I have cloned and upgraded lot of GRE scanners with no problem at all.
I'm not going to load everything from one scanner into a PC and then down loaded to a scanner. IF I do what Uniden says is suppose to work for WIRED CLONING then I expect it to work. WITH UNIDEN IT DOESN'T.
So back to GRE I GO!

That worked. Thank you.
Too bad Uniden couldn't say that in there instructions for Wired Cloning.
