Default What should I do about the BCD396XT Case Sticker

My case sticker that has the FCC info peeled off and is now ruined. What should I do? Uniden said that they do not stock that part at all since they put it on at the factory. It is bugging me, and I wonder if there is some kind of solution to get one. I know it is just a sticker, but I am picky when it comes to my scanner. Anyone have any ideas?

Jacob

Do you want a picture of mine that you could use to get one printed on decal paper?

Make a new Avery label of the correct size, or nearly so, with your computer. At the very least it will preserve the s/n and any other data the manufacturer puts on the original.

Everything on that tag is in the battery box .Under the bottom battery. You don't need the label.

I'd be afraid if you use any different label it might harm the scanner or start a fire.

No more so than some agencies "painting" unit numbers on their mobile/handheld radios. In all seriousness though, I don't think the "case sticker" falling off is that big a deal. If it were me, I'd take pictures of it (the case sticker, that is) and if it does fall off, you could try to super-glue that MF'er back on there. That might work.

The first thing I did when I got my 396XT was rip that stupid sticker off and replace it with my own sticker showing battery life vs time.

Try contacting AIRSCAN 1, he lost his avatar and you lost your label, must be a conspiracy.

Well Jacob, I for one understand your irritation with the missing sticker! Stuff like that can make me crazy! I guess some of us are more picky (anal) than others!

I would probably be annoyed enough to start searching for a non working scanner with a good sticker, or consider selling the radio and getting a replacement with the sticker in tact! (OK maybe not that crazy, but close!! LOL)
