Default BCD996XT any ignition sense issues?

Has anyone had any issues with having a BCD996XT in a vehicle, having it set with ignition sense (comes on and off with key), and having the memory get cleared. Saw in one of the manuals that unless it has constant power there was a chance of the memory getting cleared. Just curious if anyone ever had any issues. I do not have it installed yet, but it is on the list for this weekend.

Thank you,

Glen

I have never had any issues with the T. Installed in the car for four or five years now along with a 15T and even left for a month or so with a dead car battery and no issues. I don't see why the XT would be any different.

I usually turn it off before I shut the key off but not always.

Is this what you saw?

Power Disconnection Caution
Important: Always turn the scanner off before disconnecting external power. Some
settings are saved only as the scanner is powering down.

Interesting I never saw this link before.

My 996xt always loses power on engine shutoff and I am not aware of any setting that isn't saved. It doesn't get powered down because it is running with a remote head and the scanner is always in the same configuration when I start the car next time. Its been disconnected from power for as long as 2 weeks.
