Default Recommendations for CB handheld antenna for 396T?

Any recommendations to increase the performance of my 396 on 11 meters?

Anything big enough, I would be afraid to mount on an SMA connector!

Someone once made a helical for CB - about 2 feet long. But, as Bill said, I wouldn't mount it on a 396. (You might want to mount the 396 on the antenna - it weighs more than the scanner.)

It could place a lot of force on the SMA. I wouldn't go with any telescopic whip. They are damaged too easily. Just my opinion backed up by experience. My telescopic antennas always end up in the drawer. Rubber ducks are a different story, such as the one I posted above.
