It is definitely what it's cut out to be.
For those of us that appreciate exactly what those tools do, and the time and effort they can save (some on a daily basis), it's worth every cent... without question.
There are features there that are not available on any other scanner at this time.
But, If they don't have any benefit for others, then they don't have to worry about it.
That's why it's an "option" that you can take or leave.
If Uniden included those features by default, and then charged *everyone* a hundred dollars more for the scanner...... that would be quite unfair.

to get that job done) Rest of the learning on the Hp-1 has not been to bad but when i asked again about the extreme hardware edition the $100.00 bill out the wazoo! the Rep. at Uniden said unless your using it for a tool or a professional device type of thing i wouldn't drop a Dime on it.
