I'm sure liking my BCT15X, the display is just right for viewing, much easier to read than my 197.
I'm a happy camper so far.

Default bct15x help with lock out

i just received a 15x on the 7th. i wont even go into how insane it is to figure out from the buttons on the face.
among the hundreds of questions i already have ill start with one that should be easy: how do you set the lock-out to last between power ups? every time i turn it on it scans everything ive ever touched until i manually L/O those freq's again.
on a positive note, this is the first scanner ive bought since the early 80's, i hooked it up to a homemade copper cactus tuned to 155.00 mhz and it it pulls in clean signals that arent even close to 155. ive changed the antenna cable between the homemade one and a radio shack part #20-176 (108-470 mhz). the homemade one does better on anything close to 155 and just as good on everything else out to 400mhz on the high end and 30 on the low end. im definitely not an expert at any of this but i solder pretty good!

any help with L/O between power -ups would be greatly appreciated, mike.

A single L/O applies a temporary lockout. To permanently lockout, press L/O twice.

Default Uniden BCT15XT

Uniden BCT15XT Mobile/Base Trucking Scanner w/ GPS Support is no longer listed at RadioShack.

It's gone, now that's fast work.
