BCD996XT - Connecting to PowerPole Connector?
HI,
Has anyone created a cable to connect the BCD996XT to a standard Powerpole connector?
Thanks for your time and help,

kb1dog,
Great radio!
Welcome to RR. The 996XT comes with an AC adapter and will also operate on 12VDC with the appropriate cable. To operate the 996XT on a power pole, simply plug the AC adapter connected to the radio into the Power Pole and rotate the volume control clockwise until you hear a clicking sound. Adjust the level and observe the rich sound.
Is this what you're looking for?

I used the included vehicle connection cable and left the orange wire open. Hence, I leave the dimmer setting on manual as the orange lead isn't connected to a headlamp signal line. I use these scanners as base models.
Works perfectly for me. Did this for the BCD996XT and the BCT15X, as well as some older scanner cables.

Love those connectors.
I run 20+ scanners plus 10 accessories (multicouplers, amplifiers, decoders, etc) in my radio room. All go through 2 Rigrunners (1 w/ remote switch, 1 hot 24/7), all have Powerpole connections.
My programming/repair area is setup for working on various mobile radios/scanners and has a power supply with 2 Powerpole connections. I use small jumpers for various radios (Motorolas, Kenwood, EFJ, Uniden) for power at my workbench.

Go for it!
I have 2 996XTs and 2 BCT15Xs hooked up to one of these: RIGrunner 4012 - Starter Kit [RR-4012-Starter] - $154.03. It is powered by an Alinco power supply. I believe this this THE best way to manage multiple scanner AC power. I will see if I can find my camera and get some pictures!
