Wow

o_O

I'd expect a price like that on eBay, but not B&N.

Why would that be sad, fireant? Let the buyer beware! If Barnes & Noble can get someone to buy at that price then more power to them.

Barnes and Noble is in some financial trouble, so they are trying to expand their market. It's pretty obvious that they not only don't know the scanner market, they think that there is a client base that wants a scanner, but doesn't know how to shop for one.

Just another area where they are failing against Amazon.

Looking at the link, that is a marketplace seller. So it it's essentially an eBay price.

That's nothing, saw an online store today that had it for over three grand. The 996XT seems to always be on backorder when I need to buy one for a customer. :-(

Barnes & Noble, huh? Hmmm... seems you should be able to buy a cup of Starbucks, and sit and listen to the scanner all you want without buying it.

Yes I have, and trying to use EZ grab using this site (below) but still can't hear anything, really getting discouraged here. I can connect to the scanner just fine virtually etc. so I'm good there.

Since you are a Premium Subscriber here, have you tried importing directly from the RR database?

If you are programming items that are in the RR database, you don't need to use EZ grab, you can use Freescan to import directly from the database.

Not sad at all. I cant feel sorry for people who have soo much money they dont see a need to shop around. Or people who dont research something theyre about to spend a grand on.. Cant feel bad for those people either..

They include Military discounts.. the only thing i wished the had more Antenna choices but that 800 is a good one and the one i'm using on my 396 Ra
