Default BCD396T New Firmware Audio

The new audio adjustment isn't as good as I thought it would be.

As a matter of fact, the audio on mine at higher volumes is now distorted where it wasn't this way on the version 1.10.

I think I am going back to the old version for the better audio.

What reference gain and time are you using with your AGC?

AGC have tried it off and on.

Haven't messed with the "settings" because it says once you power off the option is gone so I was trying to wait for the next "official" release of that feature.

When you turn it off, only the menu and options disappear but the actual settings remain. Once you active the feature, you can just keep adjusting and tweaking until you turn it off or the batteries die. And when that happens, just turn on the feature menus again.

Don't see a reason to wait for the firmware with the permanent menus to experiment.....

Exactly. What if I get it set and decide in a few days it needs more tweaking. The option is gone?

No, in a few days you use the trick to bring the settings up when you power on.

Nope, just turn it on again the same way (Hold + Power on).

I was thinking an adjustment to your Reference (REF) Gain setting would help to make your volume more equal.

Did you see this: http://uniden.com/files/BCD396T%20Fi...on%20Notes.pdf

Default Audio Agc

Wouldn't the audio AGC set too automatic work??
If I am wording it correctly,,
Anyways,
I hope it works out for you so I could apply whatever you did when I get my BCD396T
next week
Regards,
Crista
