Question 396D questions

With all this chaos in Colorado about 700mhz...I'm looking into a Uniden 396D because my RS Pro96 won't cover 700mhz.

1. What are the pros and cons of Pro 96 vs. Uniden 396D

2.Who sells, besides Uniden, the 396D? Where is the cheapest place to get one?

Thanks!

1. http://www.radioreference.com/forums...ad.php?t=17894

But read the entire thread. Some of the issues identified on the BCD396T early in the thread were improved by firmware releases.

Great! Thanks! So it sounds like I should go for the 396?

Well, normally I'd disclaim my opinion as being heavily biased. However, in this case your need is to receive the 700 MHz P25 systems, so you are limited to only two options today:

BCD396T Handheld
BCD996T Base/Mobile
