Default BC95XLT Software / PC Control Spec Released

Software for the BC95XLT is now available for download from Uniden America's web site. Demo version is free, with some limitations. Software Key to enable full functionality is $14.95.

Also in the download area is the PC Control Specification for those do-it-yourselfer's out there.

Hey Paul, quick question:

Any chance that Uniden could offer a basic no frills digital scanner like this? Conventional or Moto trunking only, with P25 decode, $250 or so street price. I'd buy one, and I bet alot more people would too (especially those folks who can't swing $500+ for a 396 or 996).

Just a suggestion of course. Keep up the great work, you guys rock!

Well, for the most part the expensive stuff doesn't scale down (CPU w/DSP, display glass, basic receiver, engineering cost recovery...). Would love to find a way.

How do NOKIA & MOTOROLA do it? Many more functions and great audio in a MUCH smaller package.

I meant that the cost doesn't scale down, was not intending the size.
