Ran into a couple of little problems though.

First time it ran, the program complained that it couldn't load MSCOMM32.OCX. I downloaded a copy from http://www.driverguide.com/ and copied it into the same folder as clone246.exe, and then it worked fine. (Driverguide.com is something of a pain to sign up for - perhaps there's a friendlier place to find the file.)

After backing up the BC246T, it wasn't clear what I was supposed to do next. The only button that did anything was the power key - pressing it momentarily got back to the menu and then the scanner was back to normal.

Thanks again for the software. I look forward to your other products for the BC246T.

That file is installed and registered by the installer software. Not sure why it did not register, a reboot after installation may help.

When you backup data you can hit the power button to go back.
But when you restore, you must switch off/On the scanner to re-inititialize the scanners memory.

First thing I tried was to search my C: drive for it, but it didn't show. Next was to uninstall and reinstall. I didn't try a reboot but doubt that would have made the file appear.

I'm running XP SP2.

Well we found a problem, the installer software may not register files correctly. We have upload a new installer. The software itself has not changed.

The program installs fine and starts up without an error now.

However - I don't see Butel BC246T any more in the Add/Remove Programs list.

It was there with the previous installer version, but when I uninstalled the program, it didn't remove the program files. (That's why I was looking for it again - to test the uninstall.)

The application will show up as 'clone246' in add/remove programs.

I had to renistall some programs and i lost arc246t verison 2= is there a way i can redownload the link without getting the demo product - of course by now i have forgotten the key code or registration number what ever that was.
