Default uniden bct8 trunk tracker lll scanner

Hello everyone is there anyone out there who knows where i can find a decussion board about the bct8? I honestly think this is a awesome scanner and would love to here peoples user reviews on it. And just general comments about this awesome rado i hear a lot about bc246t however bct8 is also trunk tracker lll and has control channel search cb radio and lots of other preprogramed frequencies also 250 progamable channels i have another 100 channel scanner and dont even use all of them channels and also bct8 is a lot cheaper here in canada bc246t sells for a whopping $500 here in nova scotia before tax i got bct8 for $370 tax included maybe we could make this the bct8 decussion board so lets please here about this great scanner and there owners thanks for taking the time to read this.

It's a "nice" scanner but there's nothing revolutionary about it, which is why it doesn't make any waves...

"its still trunktracker 3 thats revolutioary"

Not really - T3 has been out for a while.

"and i notice a few bug here and there with the 246t although a great scanner"

I haven't seen anyone confirm any bugs, the I-Call problems reported I was not able to duplicate and I haven't seen anyone else. But Uniden can always issue a firmware release if needed.

Again I'm not trying to dissuade you from chatting the BCT8 - just 'splaining why there's not much talk about it...

I think the bct8 is a neat little radio at a very good price.
I like it very much. Maybe Uniden could double the channels
to 500 and add the military band for a future model. Anyway
I think a have a winner in this unit.

This is tough on the eyes to read; this coming from an old history teacher...

Anyway, there is indeed a discussion (note the spelling) board for the BCT8 on Yahoo groups; specifically...

hey thanks ka3jjz for the link to bct8 group and everyone else who posted here i think bct8 is a great scanner too myself i dont need a 1000 channels i like to listen to the major freqs like fire ,police ,dot esp with all the snowstorms here in nova scotia in winter thats when the scanner is really good also abulances and the truckers on ch 1 glad bct8 covers cb channels and when i want to discover new talkgroups control ch only is really cool its a fantastic scanner on a more smaller scale then the more expensive models but you get a lot of bang for your buck with the bct8

I wasn't aware that the BCT-8 was able to receive I-Calls, did I miss something somewhere?

rdale was referring to the 246t when he wrote that, not the BCT8.
