Hi all,
I'm new to this forum so I hope I'm posting in the corrent thread.
There is a lot of police activity in my area, (El cajon, CA 92021)
I bought this older scanner off ebay. It didn't come with a manual or a freq chart.
First of all, can anyone tell me where I can find a freq chart and how to program them into this older unit?
I also wonder, did I waste my money on this scanner?
Thanks for your patients.

You are at your freq. chart. Click on database at the top of the page. click on your state then county. All your info is there.

Wow, thats awesome thanks.
Do you know anything about the scanner I bought?
Bearcat Uniden BC140, maybe you can tell me where I can download operating instructions. Or how to program the freqs into the system.
Thanks again

You can order an owner's manual here.

I don't know anything about this model myself.

The BC140 only has 10 channels. Press manual, type in the frequency (i.e. 146.275) then "E" to enter. The frequency should be displayed one digit at a time and then the channel number. Press manual to advance to the next position and enter the next frequency. If you try to enter an out of band frequency it will display E for error. Once you have your frequencies entered, press scan.

Frequency range is: 29-54, 136-174, 406-512
