Default Need help programming BC996 in Ontario

I got my 996 back in Feb, I really have not any time to play with it and from what I have read and downloaded is still all greek to me. I am computer ignorant so the download this and that really does not work for me. The only thing I want to do is clear out what is on the scanner already and install the 3 VHF fleet net systems the 1st system I need to put in 11 tower sites with 42 talk groups, The 2nd system has 10 tower sites and 22 talk groups and finally the 3rd system 2 tower sites and 4 talk groups. With that said HOW DO I DO THIS ? help. I tried the arc 996 I gave up after 3 hours back in early may and the BCD996T UASD was not much better because it still does not tell you where to start and where to stop ie: what do you use first write to scanner or configuration editor or system editor. I did manage to upgrade my firmware (this was a big step for me !).

You might want to post your question in the Eastern Canada forum. Somebody there might have a file to share.

I know there's a file on Scanont with Zone 1 and Zone 2 done up with site coordinates.

You'll need ARC996 to dump them in though.

Not to insult the OP - I don't mean this in a bad way - but people who are not computer literate and have no scanning experience should probably avoid the newer dynamic memory scanners. They are basically hand-held computers with radios attached.

Lots of scanning here been in radio for 30 years but the 996 is somthing totally new to me! currently running 2 BC 785D's, 1 BC 250D, 1 HS 200, 2 XTS5000III's all easy but its the way the 996 is to be programmed it's not clear to me how to do this.
