Your welcome Scan-Denver, as you can see it will be cheaper for you to buy it because your in The U.S. and you won't have to get a money order and change your money over to U.S. curency. It's really nice to get an extra 3-4 hrs on a charge.

Regarding the antenna you are using, is there a web site where I can see what this looks like and gives the specs/price ?

This was mentioned by me in another post, but I'm running 2500mAh AA batteries in my 250 with a neatly made internal AA adapter. You can get (8) 2500mAh NiMHs at Sam's/WalMart for $20.00, and that's with a charger. Well worth the hour or so to make up the AA adapter.

I tried this sorce and every time I tried to phone in my order I got a busy signal on the phone number, I tried all day and got fed up and sent an email to them, they said that they had there fax machine on and this is why I could not get through, I tried after I received their email and I still got the busy signal. Phoned back the next day and the same thing busy signals several times, I sent them an email and ask them how I was going to send in an order if all I get is a busy signal, I ask them to send me infomation on how to make an order with them and never got a reply.
NOT the kind of business I want to send money to or do business with, very unprofesional.
Steve

Funny you should ask... I wasn't to satisfied with the way things came out the first time. It worked, but I'm a perfectionist and didn't like the design. I ended up revamping the whole design last night, during the blizzard, and in the dark! I'm currently taking a break, but give me a few days and I promise I'll post a few shots. Hang in there!

Thumbs up BC296D & BC250D Custom Made Battery Pack

I had a battery pack made for $15 including the batteries 4 of the AA 2500mah standard size nickel-metal hydride rechargeable. It is larger than the original pack but will fit in to the radio. I posted a thread yesterday about this. Titled BC296 Batteries
