BC246T Uniden Advanced Scanner Director Release Available

We are glad to be able to announce the release of the final software for the BC246T. This software has many improvements over the Prerelease version we made available last Thanksgiving:

o Increased stability
o Option to send one or all systems to the scanner
o Option to send only scanner configuration information to the scanner
o Option to upload to the scanner without first erasing memory
o Better upload progress indication
o Improved data navigation

To mention just a few. Registered users can simply download and install this software; their current registration will be retained.

The Demo version (downloadable for free from BC246T UASD) is fully functional, but does have a few restrictions that are removed upon registration:

1) Systems transferred to the scanner must be named:
"Conventional," "Motorola," "EDACS," or "LTR."
Other systems will be ignored.

2) The option to send only 1 (or a few) systems to the scanner is not available.

3) The option to upload systems to the scanner without first erasing scanner memory is not available.

Thank you for your patience as we took the time to incorporate many of your suggestions and requests into the final version. We are glad that we were able to make the Prerelease available last Thanksgiving; even with its shortfalls it gave you some functional software to use with your scanner. We are even happier to release this full version today.

Just a quick Question...... Will The UASD be THE software for the BCD396T in the future or will a diffrent version of UASD be created for it?

As the BCD396T has additional features over the BC246T, there will need to be a separate version.

Are you sure? That link is to version 1.00, which is what I already have.
Let me know if you successfully upgrade from that link.

The external version didn't change. The internal file version is now 1.0.1.15. You probably have 1.0.1.6. You can see the internal version by clicking on the BC246T_UASD.exe installed file (in c:/program files/uniden/BC246T_UASD) and looking at the file properties.

Should have mentioned that you will also know that it is a later version by the cool new options on the Write to Scanner window.
