I want to listen to 746-757MHz 776-787MHz is this possible to do with the bcd396xt? I'm just curious to see what my lte phone sounds like or what the data burst pattern look like. The scanner says out of band! When I try to enter these limits in a custom search.

Not going to happen with any of these newer scanners. If you want to hear the annoying buzz of Cdma then you need something older, like a Uniden 890xlt then make the cell mod to it. 73, n9zas

Lay your phone next to a desktop computer speaker, you'll hear it ;-)

So there is no resistor to cut or a sequence of buttons to press? Darn.

Nothing you can do with that Uniden will restore 700 mhz. You need an older scanner like I mentioned, then you might be able to with a mod. 73, n9zas

My wife's old HTC M1 is 4G LTE, and damn that thing was noisy near amplified speakers or using an aux input cable in a car, etc.

You have a misunderstanding how newer digital phone networks work on the cellular bands, search google and do the leg work to get the answer about cellular. but you can call your house phone from your cell phone and listen to how your phone sounds.

Possibly with a Morse reader? All you'd need otherwise would be a cable with a 1/8 three cond jack on both ends. 73, n9zas
