BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Proper way to stop scanning process?

Good Morning,

I am sure this question will clearly identify me as a wet behind the ears newbie..........but I'm at a loss as to the proper answer.

In running the search (zip code) scan, and I come across an interesting transmission, what is the preferred way to hold the channel - rather than have it jump to the next channel when there is a 2 second time lapse?

Press the CHANNEL button to pause on that talkgroup/channel.

Press the CHAN button on the bottom right of the scanner face. It will hold on the channel/TGID until you press it again to release.

You can do the same thing with the System and Department buttons. The scanner will only scan within the selected System or Department.
