Folks,
I’ve followed some suggestions in this forum and purchased the Radio Shack 800 Mhz antenna for my SDS-100.
What a difference! It’s night and day for 700/800 Mhz systems!

I recommend it.
So far I’ve not noticed degraded performance on VHF but I need more time.

What are your thoughts?
The only con I see is losing the antenna seal the factory antenna provides.

In my area, I've actually had better luck with a Watson W-801. Even on 700-800MHz. Which is odd, the RS800 is usually my go to antenna.

That antenna is the gold standard for 700/800 Mhz scanning.
It does a very good job on VHF too.
